Climbing the highest peaks of the world and representing India on global summits — one mountain at a time.
Rohtash Khileri (born 14 May 1996) is an Indian mountaineer and explorer from Haryana who has established himself as one of the most determined high-altitude climbers of his generation. He summited Mount Everest on 16 May 2018 — one of the youngest mountaineers from his state to achieve this extraordinary feat.
Known for his remarkable endurance and unwavering spirit, Rohtash is on a mission to climb the highest mountains on all seven continents — having already claimed summits across Asia, Europe, and Africa. He carries with him the values of the Bishnoi community: deep respect for nature and a commitment to leaving the world better than he found it.
A transformative trip to Nepal changed everything. Seeing Mount Everest for the first time ignited an unshakeable calling — Rohtash returned to India not the same person, but as a mountaineer in the making.
He dedicated years to rigorous training — building physical endurance, mastering technical climbing skills, and preparing body and mind for extreme altitude. Each smaller Himalayan peak was a stepping stone toward greater summits.
High-altitude mountaineering demands enormous resources. Rohtash faced significant financial challenges throughout his journey. Undeterred, he sought support, trained harder, and refused to let circumstance define the ceiling of his ambitions.
Years of sacrifice and determination culminated in one historic moment — standing at 8,848 metres on the roof of the world. Rohtash summited Mount Everest, becoming one of the youngest climbers from Haryana to achieve this feat.
Everest was not the destination — it was the beginning. Kilimanjaro, Elbrus, Friendship Peak and more followed, each adding a new chapter to an extraordinary story still being written.
First person to stay a full 24 hours at the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro — an extraordinary feat of endurance at Africa's highest point, 5,898 metres above sea level.
World FirstFirst Indian to summit Mount Elbrus in both summer and winter seasons, demonstrating year-round mastery of Europe's highest peak at 5,642m.
National RecordStanding atop the world at 8,848m on 16 May 2018, Rohtash became one of the youngest mountaineers from Haryana to reach the summit of Mount Everest.
State RecordMajor summit achievements across Asia, Europe, and Africa as part of the ongoing Seven Summits mission — with more continents yet to come.
OngoingThe mountain doesn't care how strong you are. It only cares about your respect — for nature, for the climb, and for every soul who dares to stand at its feet.
Rohtash is deeply connected to the Bishnoi community tradition of living in harmony with nature. This reverence for the natural world guides every expedition — treating mountain environments with the profound respect they deserve.
A committed vegetarian, Rohtash proves that plant-based nutrition can fuel elite athletic performance at extreme altitudes. His approach challenges conventional wisdom and inspires others to rethink their relationship with food and endurance.
He follows strict environmental protection principles on every climb — leaving no trace, advocating for clean mountaineering, and speaking up for the fragile ecosystems that exist at high altitude and beyond.
Rohtash Khileri's ultimate vision is to climb the highest mountain on each of the seven continents — a feat achieved by very few Indians. Beyond personal ambition, each summit is an opportunity to inspire millions of young Indians to pursue adventure, push their limits, and believe in themselves.
He trains young climbers, mentors aspiring mountaineers, and shares his journey authentically through social media — building a community of adventure-minded youth who dare to dream of heights once considered unreachable.
